LET'S MAKE A PLAY DATE!

Join us during the 2026-2027 school year for School’s Out, Play-in-a-Day workshops.  These workshops provide a unique opportunity for children to undergo training in the performing arts and are a lifesaver for parents when the kids are out of school!

Step into the world of the popular Disney Channel Original Movies - Disney’s Descendants! Join the cast of Springfield Little Theatres production of Disney’s Descendants in learning what it takes to work as a team - even if you’re the “bad guys.” Participants of this fun, energetic workshop will be taught how to create a villains’ tale by the real villains of Disney’s Descendants at Springfield Little Theatre and will have the opportunity to purchase discounted tickets to the upcoming production of Disney’s Descendants in The Reynolds Auditorium at The Judy!

Children ages 8 to 12 are invited to participate in a full day of creative play, including theatre games, improvisation, dance, and an art project. They will also tackle a script that they will perform at the end of the day! Bring a sack lunch, a water bottle, and an awesome attitude!

SESSION II: October 24th - December 12th, 2026. NOTE - No class will be held on Saturday, October 31st, but all students are invited to join us for our annual Show Your Character Halloween Event! 9 AM - 2 PM at The Judy! No class will be held on Saturday, November 28th, 2026 in observance of Thanksgiving weekend.

Always wanted to be an actor, but didn’t know where to start? Come “play” with us in Acting Basics. This class focuses on fun and creativity through theatre games and dramatic story-building. Group interaction and cooperation in playing a scene will be emphasized.

The families of Disney’s Encanto, Disney’s Moana, and Disney’s Lilo and Stitch certainly know the importance of always finding your way back home! Participants of this joyful, wholesome workshop will be led through active story telling and heartfelt songs to illustrate the true meaning of Family -  “Ohana means Family, and Family means no one gets left behind, or forgotten.”

Ho, ho ho and Happy Holidays! Holiday celebrations are just around the corner and we’re celebrating in a BIG way with Springfield Little Theatre! Join the stories of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer as he embarks on a journey of fun and friendship across the North Pole! Participants of this merriment filled workshop will be visited by cast members of SLT’s Mainstage Production of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer to learn all about friendship and finding yourself. Participants will have the opportunity to purchase discounted tickets to the upcoming production of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer at The Landers!

Bello! The Minions are so excited to invite you to a day of fun and mischief with your favorite yellow friends! Join us at The Judy to create tales of Minion Mayhem and Madness with silly songs and dances. Participants of this workshop will be immersed in the true henchmen experience through the eyes (or eye) of a Minion!
