Be a part of a fun musical theatre production from start to finish in The Reynolds Auditorium at The Judith Enyeart Reynolds School of the Performing Arts for Springfield Little Theatre! All experience levels welcome.

This SLT Summer experience concludes with 6 public performances of JUNIE B.'s ESSENTIAL SURVIVAL GUIDE TO SCHOOL, JR., a fun, family-friendly musical based on the popular Junie B. Jones books.

The story follows first-grader Junie B. Jones, who decides she’s the perfect person to write the ultimate guide to surviving school. As she gathers advice about everything from backpacks and classroom rules to friendships and playground drama, Junie B. struggles with writer’s block and keeps getting into trouble along the way. With help from her classmates and teacher, she learns that making mistakes is part of growing up—and that school (and life) always has more lessons to teach.

The show features upbeat songs, lots of humor, and heartwarming messages about friendship, responsibility, and learning from your mistakes

Technical Theatre Camp offers an incredible opportunity for students 12 and up to gain training, insight, respect for, and hands-on experience in technical theatre from Springfield Little Theatre’s own Scenic, Lighting, Sound, and Costume Designers, and the Summer Youth Programs support staff. Students enrolled in Technical Theatre Camp will not only gain a valuable skill set, but they will also help to create the sets, costumes, and props, as well as serve as the technical crew for the Summer Series Production of JUNIE B.'s ESSENTIAL SURVIVIAL GUIDE TO SCHOOL, JR.!

An Audition Preparatory Workshop for Springfield Little Theatre's production of ARSENIC AND OLD LACE will be offered Monday, August 10th from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at The Judy.

Whether it’s your first audition or your 20th, everyone can benefit from a show’s audition workshop! Learn how to choose the material that’s best for you, develop your cold reading skills, improve your vocal selections, survive a dance audition, and make your very best impression!

An Audition Preparatory Workshop for Springfield Little Theatre's Education Series production of CHARLOTTE'S WEB will be offered Sunday, August 16th, 2026, from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM PM at The Judy.

Everyone can benefit from a show’s audition workshop! Learn how to make your very best impression!

Participants will be taught a short movement combination, a portion of a song from the show, and a short line reading, all of which will be used in placement auditions. 

Placement Auditions will be held on Sunday, August 23rd, 2026 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM.

Great for new, entry-level, AND returning students.
No experience is necessary. All are welcome!

Step into a colorful world of glitter, harmony, and heart this summer with SLT’s Summer Stages Workshop Session V, inspired by the joy and high-energy fun of Trolls! Young performers will discover their skills through acting games, improvisation, scene work, and musical theatre song & dance—all while building the confidence to shine bright onstage and off.

Campers who love visual art will also enjoy creating Trolls-themed crafts bursting with color and creativity.

On the final day of the workshop, families and friends are invited to a free informal showcase featuring our sparkling stars.

Join us for a week of friendship, fun, and feel-good performances—because at Summer Stages, all that glitters is truly in you!

NOTE: Campers ages 6-18 will perform at ALL performances. Campers ages 4-7 will perform at the 11:00 AM performance ONLY.

Middle School students are invited to workshop their audition selections prior to auditions for Springfield Little Theatre’s youth performance troupes! In addition to helping them feel more confident, audition workshops are beneficial in assisting students in working through their nerves, connecting more fully to their material, and preparing smart cuts.

Auditions for Middle School Thespians 2026 - 2027 will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM at The Judy.

An Audition Preparatory Workshop for Springfield Little Theatre's Youth Entertainment Series production of DISNEY'S DECENDANTS: THE MUSICAL will be offered Sunday, August 23rd, 2026, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM at The Judy.

The Springfield Little Theatre Education Department is excited to present CHARLOTTE'S WEBB in its 2025-2026 Education Series!

In CHARLOTTE'S WEBB, all the enchanting characters are here: Wilbur, the irresistible young pig who desperately wants to avoid the butcher; Fern, a girl who understands what animals say to each other; Templeton, the gluttonous rat who can occasionally be talked into a good deed; the Zuckerman family; the Arables; and, most of all, the extraordinary spider, Charlotte, who proves to be “a true friend and a good writer.” Determined to save Wilbur, Charlotte begins her campaign with the "miracle" of her web in which she writes, "Some pig." It's the beginning of a victorious campaign which ultimately ends with the now-safe Wilbur doing what is most important to Charlotte.

Placement auditions for performers ages 8 through 18 will be held Sunday, August 23rd, 2026 at 4:00 PM at The Judith Enyeart Reynolds School of the Performing Arts for Springfield Little Theatre ("The Judy"). At the auditions, participants will be taught a short movement combination and a portion of a song from the show and will be given and asked to perform a short line reading.

The cast and parent meeting will be held Tuesday, August 25th, 2026 - 7:00 pm at The Judy. Rehearsals will begin Wednesday, August 25th, 2026 and will run Sundays - Thursdays from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Not everyone will be called for every rehearsal.

Performances will be presented Friday, October 9th at 7:00 PM, Saturday, October 10th at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, Sunday, October 11th at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 15th at 7:00 PM, Friday, October 16th at 7:00 PM, Saturday, October 17th at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM and Sunday, October 18th at 2:00 PM in The Studio Theatre at The Judy.

A participation fee / tuition helps meet some of the project's costs.
