This class is designed to serve both the teenage beginner and those committed young adults who are interested in advancing their acting skills. Act/Teen is a supportive, engaging class where students at any level are met where they are, and challenged with monologues, scene work, and improvisation.

The Springfield Little Theatre Education Department is excited to present DISNEY'S ARISTOCATS, KIDS in its 2024-2025 Education Series! Based on the beloved Disney animated film, and featuring a jazzy, upbeat score, DISNEY'S ARISTOCATS, KIDS is a non-stop thrill ride of feline fun, complete with unbelievable twists and turns.

In the heart of Paris, a kind and eccentric millionairess wills her entire estate to Duchess, her high-society cat, and her three little kittens. Laughs and adventure ensue as the greedy, bumbling butler pulls off the ultimate catnap caper. Now it's up to the rough-and-tumble alley cat, Thomas O'Malley, and his band of swingin' jazz cats to save the day.

Placement auditions for performers ages 8 through 18 will be held Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 7:00 PM at The Judith Enyeart Reynolds School of the Performing Arts for Springfield Little Theatre ("The Judy"). At the auditions, participants will be taught a short movement combination and a portion of a song from the show and will be given and asked to perform a short line reading.

The cast and parent meeting/ first rehearsal will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at The Judy.

Rehearsals will be Sundays - Thursdays from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Not everyone will be called for every rehearsal.

Performances will be presented Friday, April 4, 2025, at 7:00 PM; Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM; and Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM in The Reynolds Auditorium at The Judy.

A participation fee/ tuition helps meet some of the project's costs.

LET'S MAKE A PLAY DATE!

Join us during the 2024-2025 school year for School’s Out, Play-in-a-Day workshops.  These workshops provide a unique opportunity for children to undergo training in the performing arts and are a lifesaver for parents when the kids are out of school!

Children ages 5-12 are invited to participate in a full day of creative play, including theatre games, improvisation, dance, and an art project. They will also tackle a script that they will perform at the end of the day! Bring a sack lunch, a water bottle, and an awesome attitude!
