An Audition Preparatory Workshop for Springfield Little Theatre's Education Series production of DISNEY'S WINNIE THE POOH, KIDS will be offered Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM at The Judy.

Everyone can benefit from a show’s audition workshop! Learn how to make your very best impression!

Participants will be taught a short movement combination, a portion of a song from the show, and a short line reading, all of which will be used in placement auditions.

Whether it’s your first audition or your 20th, everyone can benefit from a show’s audition workshop! Learn how to choose the material that’s best for you, develop your cold reading skills, improve your vocal selections, survive a dance audition, and make your very best impression!

Participants are asked to prepare a one-minute vocal selection and bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. If you need help finding a selection that works for you, no worries, we can help you accomplish that at the workshop! A movement combination will also be taught, and participants will have the opportunity to explore cold readings, as well.

BEACH DAY

Grab your beach towel and sunscreen and come soak up the sun with us at Springfield Little Theatre! We are so excited to learn a fun beach-themed song and dance with you, and even build a craft. Let’s have a beach-ball together!

LET'S MAKE A PLAY DATE!

Join us during the 2024-2025 school year for School’s Out, Play-in-a-Day workshops.  These workshops provide a unique opportunity for children to undergo training in the performing arts and are a lifesaver for parents when the kids are out of school!

Children ages 5-12 are invited to participate in a full day of creative play, including theatre games, improvisation, dance, and an art project. They will also tackle a script that they will perform at the end of the day! Bring a sack lunch, a water bottle, and an awesome attitude!

AGES 8 - 18
Great for new, entry-level, AND returning students.
No experience is necessary. All are welcome!

The Springfield Little Theatre Education Department is excited to present DISNEY'S WINNIE THE POOH, KIDS in its 2024-2025 Education Series! Pooh Bear and all of his friends from the classic children’s books and animated film band together to rescue their friend, Christopher Robin.

Welcome to the Hundred Acre Wood, where Winnie the Pooh is once again in search of honey. Along the way, he meets his pals, Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit and Owl, but soon discovers that Christopher Robin has been captured by the mysterious Backson! As they prepare for a rescue operation, the animals learn about teamwork, friendship and, of course... sharing snacks.

Placement auditions for performers ages 8 through 18 will be held Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 7:00 PM at The Judith Enyeart Reynolds School of the Performing Arts for Springfield Little Theatre ("The Judy"). At the auditions, participants will be taught a short movement combination and a portion of a song from the show and will be given and asked to perform a short line reading.

The cast and parent meeting/ first rehearsal will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at The Judy.

Rehearsals will be Sundays - Thursdays from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Not everyone will be called for every rehearsal.

Performances will be presented Friday, May 16, 2025, at 7:00 PM; Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM; and Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM in The Studio Theatre at The Judy.

A participation fee/ tuition helps meet some of the project's costs.
