The Nightmare Story - Audition Workshop
with Gretchen Teague
Ages: 14 - 18
An Audition Preparatory Workshop for Springfield Little Theatre's Youth Entertainment Series production of THE NIGHTMARE STORY will be offered Sunday, February 15, 2026 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at The Judy.
Whether it’s your first audition or your 20th, everyone can benefit from a show’s audition workshop! Learn how to choose the material that’s best for you, develop your cold reading skills, improve your vocal selections, survive a dance audition, and make your very best impression!
Participants are asked to prepare a one-minute vocal selection and bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. If you need help finding a selection that works for you, no worries, we can help you accomplish that at the workshop! A movement combination will also be taught, and participants will have the opportunity to explore cold readings, as well.

Improve your vocal skills while performing music written for the theatrical stage. Learn how to use your voice correctly while singing as a character and present your best in an audition.

Back by popular demand, this class is high-energy, fun-spirited and a terrific workout! Gotta Dance features a warm-up followed by a new musical theatre combination each week.

Act/Teen (Ages 13-18) (6720)

This class is designed to serve both the teenage beginner and those committed young adults who are interested in advancing their acting skills. Act/Teen is a supportive, engaging class where students at any level are met where they are, and challenged with monologues, scene work, and improvisation.

February - Tap Workshop with Chyrel Love Miller

Get ready to make some noise!
Springfield Little Theatre is excited to offer four skill-building Tap Dancing Workshops led by grand-dame Chyrel Love Miller, who will be steering the ship for Anything Goes, the closing ta-da of our 2025-2026 Landers mainstage season!
Whether you’re new to tap or looking to sharpen your skills, these workshops offer something for you:
· First Half: Beginner Level Perfect for newcomers! Learn foundational tap steps, terminology, and rhythm basics in a supportive and fun environment.
· Second Half: Experienced Dancers Dive deeper into combinations, style, and performance flair.
Experienced dancers are invited to attend the full workshop, starting with the beginner session to warm up and refine their fundamentals. Beginners are welcome to stay for the entire workshop and challenge themselves alongside more advanced dancers.
Don't miss this exciting opportunity to dance, grow, and/or prepare for auditions for the show!

Beginning Sewing (Teens & Adults) (6720)

SESSION IV: February 23rd - April 6th, 2026. NOTE - Classes will NOT meet March 16th, 2026.
Learn the essentials of sewing in this introductory class, perfect for teens and adults eager to create their own garments and crafts. In this course students will learn many hand-stitching techniques and the basics of machine sewing. Each student will also build their own small project by the end of the six weeks!
