When teen heartthrob Conrad Birdie is drafted into the army, his manager and secretary cook up one last publicity stunt: Conrad will visit a small town and give one lucky fan a goodbye kiss on live television. But when the famous singer arrives, the town turns upside down with jealous boyfriends, star-struck teens, and plenty of hilarious chaos!

Summer Institutes are intensive, all-inclusive theatrical training grounds for experienced musical theatre performers resulting in six public performances. They provide exciting opportunities for committed students to be a part of a full-scale production. A demanding two-week process from beginning to end, a SLT Summer Institute may best be described as “summer stock” for youth!

Summer Series Production, Ages 4-18: Junie B.'s Essential Survival Guide To School, JR. (6500)

Be a part of a fun musical theatre production from start to finish in The Reynolds Auditorium at The Judith Enyeart Reynolds School of the Performing Arts for Springfield Little Theatre! All experience levels welcome.
This SLT Summer experience concludes with 6 public performances of JUNIE B.'s ESSENTIAL SURVIVAL GUIDE TO SCHOOL, JR., a fun, family-friendly musical based on the popular Junie B. Jones books.
The story follows first-grader Junie B. Jones, who decides she’s the perfect person to write the ultimate guide to surviving school. As she gathers advice about everything from backpacks and classroom rules to friendships and playground drama, Junie B. struggles with writer’s block and keeps getting into trouble along the way. With help from her classmates and teacher, she learns that making mistakes is part of growing up—and that school (and life) always has more lessons to teach.
The show features upbeat songs, lots of humor, and heartwarming messages about friendship, responsibility, and learning from your mistakes

Charlotte's Webb - Education Series

The Springfield Little Theatre Education Department is excited to present CHARLOTTE'S WEBB in its 2025-2026 Education Series!
In CHARLOTTE'S WEBB, all the enchanting characters are here: Wilbur, the irresistible young pig who desperately wants to avoid the butcher; Fern, a girl who understands what animals say to each other; Templeton, the gluttonous rat who can occasionally be talked into a good deed; the Zuckerman family; the Arables; and, most of all, the extraordinary spider, Charlotte, who proves to be “a true friend and a good writer.” Determined to save Wilbur, Charlotte begins her campaign with the "miracle" of her web in which she writes, "Some pig." It's the beginning of a victorious campaign which ultimately ends with the now-safe Wilbur doing what is most important to Charlotte.
Placement auditions for performers ages 8 through 18 will be held Sunday, August 23rd, 2026 at 4:00 PM at The Judith Enyeart Reynolds School of the Performing Arts for Springfield Little Theatre ("The Judy"). At the auditions, participants will be taught a short movement combination and a portion of a song from the show and will be given and asked to perform a short line reading.

The cast and parent meeting will be held Tuesday, August 25th, 2026 - 7:00 pm at The Judy. Rehearsals will begin Wednesday, August 25th, 2026 and will run Sundays - Thursdays from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Not everyone will be called for every rehearsal.
Performances will be presented Friday, October 9th at 7:00 PM, Saturday, October 10th at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, Sunday, October 11th at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 15th at 7:00 PM, Friday, October 16th at 7:00 PM, Saturday, October 17th at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM and Sunday, October 18th at 2:00 PM in The Studio Theatre at The Judy.
A participation fee / tuition helps meet some of the project's costs.
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer - Audition Workshop, Ages 8 - Adult
An Audition Preparatory Workshop for Springfield Little Theatre's production of RUDOLPH THE RED NOSED REINDEER will be offered Monday, September 21st for ages 8-Adult from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at The Judy.
Whether it’s your first audition or your 20th, everyone can benefit from a show’s audition workshop! Learn how to choose the material that’s best for you, develop your cold reading skills, improve your vocal selections, survive a dance audition, and make your very best impression!
Participants are asked to prepare a one-minute vocal selection and bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. If you need help finding a selection that works for you, no worries, we can help you accomplish that at the workshop! A movement combination will also be taught, and participants will have the opportunity to explore cold readings, as well.

OLYMPUS: THE GREEK ROCK MUSICAL, is a laugh-out-loud rock musical where ancient myths meet modern mischief! The Greek gods, tired of their immortal routines, spark a competition to meddle with mortals and prove who’s the greatest greek god of all time. When a group of modern-day cousins set off on a hike to “Olympus Overlook,” they have no idea they’re about to be tested by ancient deities. With catchy songs, heartfelt moments, and plenty of laughs, Olympus is a mythic adventure about family, connection, and discovering that the real view from the top is the one you share together.

The Springfield Little Theatre Education Department is excited to present TROLLS: THE MUSCIAL, JR in its 2025-2026 Education Series!
TROLLS: THE MUSCIAL, JR, is based on the irreverent DreamWorks Animation movie franchise and features a colorful, wondrous world populated by hilariously unforgettable characters. The show follows the overly optimistic Trolls, constantly with a song on their lips, and the comically pessimistic Bergens, who are only happy when they have Trolls in their stomach.
The Troll thespians in Poppy’s company live by their motto: the show must go on. But when a tyrannical foreign emissary arrives in Bergenland, expectations are raised, forcing the Trolls to totally rework their show or risk being served up in the name of diplomacy by a Chef rehired and out for revenge.

Performances will be presented Friday, March 5th at 7:00 PM, Saturday, March 6th at 2:00 Pm and 4:00 PM, Sunday, March 7th at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 11th at 7:00 PM, Friday, March 12th at 7:00 PM, and Saturday, March 13th at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM in The Reynolds Auditorium at The Judy. Special performances for Area Schools will be held on Wednesday, March 10th at 10:15 AM and 12:15 AM.
