Join us during the 2026-2027 school year for School’s Out, Play-in-a-Day workshops.  These workshops provide a unique opportunity for children to undergo training in the performing arts and are a lifesaver for parents when the kids are out of school!

Ho, ho ho and Happy Holidays! Holiday celebrations are just around the corner and we’re celebrating in a BIG way with Springfield Little Theatre! Join the stories of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer as he embarks on a journey of fun and friendship across the North Pole! Participants of this merriment filled workshop will be visited by cast members of SLT’s Mainstage Production of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer to learn all about friendship and finding yourself. Participants will have the opportunity to purchase discounted tickets to the upcoming production of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer at The Landers!

Children ages 8 to 12 are invited to participate in a full day of creative play, including theatre games, improvisation, dance, and an art project. They will also tackle a script that they will perform at the end of the day! Bring a sack lunch, a water bottle, and an awesome attitude!

An Audition Preparatory Workshop for Springfield Little Theatre's Education Series production of TROLLS: THE MUSICAL, JR. will be offered Sunday, January 3rd, 2027, from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at The Judy.

Everyone can benefit from a show’s audition workshop! Learn how to make your very best impression!

Participants will be taught a short movement combination, a portion of a song from the show, and a short line reading, all of which will be used in placement auditions. 

Placement Auditions will be held on Wednesday, January 6th, 2027 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM.

Bello! The Minions are so excited to invite you to a day of fun and mischief with your favorite yellow friends! Join us at The Judy to create tales of Minion Mayhem and Madness with silly songs and dances. Participants of this workshop will be immersed in the true henchmen experience through the eyes (or eye) of a Minion!

An Audition Preparatory Workshop for Springfield Little Theatre's production of DEAR EVAN HANSEN will be offered Monday, January 4th from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at The Judy.

Whether it’s your first audition or your 20th, everyone can benefit from a show’s audition workshop! Learn how to choose the material that’s best for you, develop your cold reading skills, improve your vocal selections, survive a dance audition, and make your very best impression!

Participants are asked to prepare a one-minute vocal selection and bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. If you need help finding a selection that works for you, no worries, we can help you accomplish that at the workshop! A movement combination will also be taught, and participants will have the opportunity to explore cold readings, as well.

The Springfield Little Theatre Education Department is excited to present TROLLS: THE MUSICAL, JR. in its 2025-2026 Education Series!

TROLLS: THE MUSICAL, JR., is based on the irreverent DreamWorks Animation movie franchise and features a colorful, wondrous world populated by hilariously unforgettable characters. The show follows the overly optimistic Trolls, constantly with a song on their lips, and the comically pessimistic Bergens, who are only happy when they have Trolls in their stomach.

The Troll thespians in Poppy’s company live by their motto: the show must go on. But when a tyrannical foreign emissary arrives in Bergenland, expectations are raised, forcing the Trolls to totally rework their show or risk being served up in the name of diplomacy by a Chef rehired and out for revenge.

Placement auditions for performers ages 8 through 18 will be held Wednesday, January 6th, 2027 at 7:00 PM at The Judith Enyeart Reynolds School of the Performing Arts for Springfield Little Theatre ("The Judy"). At the auditions, participants will be taught a short movement combination and a portion of a song from the show and will be given and asked to perform a short line reading.

The cast and parent meeting will be held Sunday, January 10th, 2027 - 7:00 pm at The Judy. Rehearsals will begin Monday, January 11th, 2027 and will run Sundays - Thursdays from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Not everyone will be called for every rehearsal.

Performances will be presented Friday, March 5th at 7:00 PM, Saturday, March 6th at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, Sunday, March 7th at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 11th at 7:00 PM, Friday, March 12th at 7:00 PM, and Saturday, March 13th at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM in The Reynolds Auditorium at The Judy. Special performances for Area Schools will be held on Wednesday, March 10th at 10:15 AM and 12:15 AM. 

A participation fee / tuition helps meet some of the project's costs.

Calling all Princes, Princesses, Dragons and Knights - Medieval Magic awaits inside The Judy front doors! Participants of this will experience a festival of fun in this renaissance themed workshop. Join the cast of Once Upon a Mattress as they share in the delights of story telling and Princess Creating! Parents of participants are invited to see SLT’s MainStage Production of Once Upon a Mattress at The Landers for a discounted rate!
