LET'S MAKE A PLAY DATE!

Join us during the 2026-2027 school year for School’s Out, Play-in-a-Day workshops.  These workshops provide a unique opportunity for children to undergo training in the performing arts and are a lifesaver for parents when the kids are out of school!

We think you’re Needoh! Learn about the world of sensory play and devising original theatre through creating props! In partnership with Devising Original Theatre Springfield, participants of this workshop will build their own sensory props to create a cohesive story together. Come build your own Needoh and create a story to go with it!

Children ages 8 to 12 are invited to participate in a full day of creative play, including theatre games, improvisation, dance, and an art project. They will also tackle a script that they will perform at the end of the day! Bring a sack lunch, a water bottle, and an awesome attitude!

An Audition Preparatory Workshop for Springfield Little Theatre's Youth Entertainment Series production of THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (ABRIDGED) will be offered Wednesday, Monday, March 22nd, 2027, from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at The Judy.

Everyone can benefit from a show’s audition workshop! Learn how to make your very best impression!

Participants will be taught short line readings, all of which will be used in placement auditions. 

Auditions will be held on Monday, March 29th, 2027, at 7:00 PM at The Judy!

An Audition Preparatory Workshop for Springfield Little Theatre's production of MEAN GIRLS will be offered Monday, April 5th from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at The Judy.

Whether it’s your first audition or your 20th, everyone can benefit from a show’s audition workshop! Learn how to choose the material that’s best for you, develop your cold reading skills, improve your vocal selections, survive a dance audition, and make your very best impression!

Participants are asked to prepare a one-minute vocal selection and bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. If you need help finding a selection that works for you, no worries, we can help you accomplish that at the workshop! A movement combination will also be taught, and participants will have the opportunity to explore cold readings, as well.

Every young actor knows the fear of having something go wrong onstage…at this workshop, we ENCOURGE the “worst” to happen! Join the cast of Springfield Little Theatre’s MainStage Production of Peter Pan Goes Wrong as they teach young artists how to perform small stage combat combinations, land the punchline, and make messing up look so good! Participants will have the opportunity to purchase discounted tickets to the upcoming production of Peter Pan Goes Wrong at The Landers!
