Step into the magical world of royalty with our PRINCESS CAMP Studio Theatre Workshop! Designed especially for our youngest students, this workshop will transport your child into a realm of imagination and creativity fit for a princess. Through engaging theatre games and improvisation activities, participants will learn acting basics while having a royal blast! On the final day, families and friends are invited to a free informal performance featuring songs, dances, and script excerpts they learned throughout the week.

But that's not all! Youngsters enrolled in our Princess-themed workshops will also enjoy exciting activities such as witnessing a live performance, creating themed craft projects, and delving deeper into the magical subject matter with guided storytellers and visits from costumed characters straight out of fairy tales. Don't miss out on this enchanting opportunity for your little prince or princess to shine on stage!

Springfield Little Theatre's Summer Institute presents THE ADDAMS FAMILY Young@Part! Summer Institutes are intensive, all-inclusive theatrical training grounds for experienced musical theatre performers resulting in six public performances.  They provide exciting opportunities for committed students to be a part of a full-scale production. A demanding two-week process from beginning to end, a SLT Summer Institute may best be described as “summer stock” for youth!

Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family whom her parents have never met. She confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before– keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

Technical Theatre Camp offers an incredible opportunity for students 12 and up to gain training, insight, respect for, and hands-on experience in technical theatre from Springfield Little Theatre’s own Scenic, Lighting, Sound, and Costume Designers, and the Summer Youth Programs support staff. Students enrolled in Technical Theatre Camp will not only gain a valuable skill set, but they will also help to create the sets, costumes, and props, as well as serve as the technical crew, Springfield Little Theatre Summer Institute production of THE ADDAMS FAMILY Young@Part.
